For the first week of November, I had the pleasure to loan the new Leica M11 from the Leica Store in Mayfair, London. It was a big step for me to work in colour again for fine art and street. The M11 felt very intuitive to use as you would expect with an m series camera. The most notable improvement is the battery life. I was able to get a few hours out of just one battery! The additional megapixels is also a welcome addition, especially when you dont have time change your prime lens. For the images at St Georges Hall, I was using a 21mm lens. This was used to get the overall perspective of the huge columns and their shadows. However, when the lady in a red beret appeared I had to act fast and shoot. Over to post processing, I cropped near 50% (CF) to bring the lady into the photograph. I didnt see any loss of quality in the image. What do you think? I just love that camera.
